She isn't really the sharpest one when it comes to most other studies (such as mathematics), but she shows great interest in learning not only about her heritage, but also the world in which her Fae mother came from. During her free time, she also studies in the magic arts, though is mainly self taught due to schedule and financial constraints (which as a result, isn't as refined as those who have received proper training). She primarily studies Light magic due to its ease, but her carefree-ness tends to make her gravitate towards it the most compared to other types.
Typically carefree about her life, she prefers to follow what interests her without much concern for the future. She also has a curious nature, who is always looking forward to learning new things about herself and her surroundings. Irene is very proud of her heritage, and deep down considers herself to be lucky at all to be born with something even partly mystical within her blood.
A large part of her interest and motivations have mostly been spurred on by a graduate Zeke, who she met when touring colleges and has similar interests with her. He does tend to ask her about the nature of her magic powers and how he might be able to help with his potential invention. However, even she admits that deep down she doesn't know much about how her magic manifests from her and is one of the large portions of her studies at the college that she tries to understand.
